The Central Cinema (formerly the Odeon) is situated 100 yards up Abbey Road, in the centre of the town's busy shopping area. Most Torquay buses stop directly opposite the cinema in Abbey road. The main railway station is 15 minutes walk away or a short taxi-ride. There is a large well-lit high security multi-storey car park nearby, the entrance to which is just beyond the cinema on the right hand side. The cinema is within easy walking distance of most town centre hotels and guesthouses and is surrounded by bars and restaurants.

Disabled Facilities

The Central is a large town cinema over 3 floors.

Wheelchair Access - The Central Cinema in Torquay has one wheelchair space each in Screens 3 and 4 and large wheelchair bays in Screen 2. These are accessible via rear fire exit doors which lead onto the lane at the rear of the cinema.

Wheelchair/carer spaces cannot currently be booked online, so please contact the cinema's box office during normal opening hours to enquire about seat reservations and/or other accessible facilities on 01803 380001.

Disabled Toilets - Disabled toilets are not currently available. If wheelchair customers are in Screens 2, 3 or 4 there are two flights of stairs to the main toilets.

Infrared Hearing Aid/Induction Loop - The infrared hearing aid/induction loop is not available in any auditoriums at present.

Infrared Audio Description - Infrared audio description is not available in any auditoriums at present.

Merlin Cinemas participate with the CEA card which is a national concessionary card developed by the UKCA for UK cinemas. This allows people with disabilities to obtain one free ticket for a person accompanying them to the cinema. The aim of the CEA Card is to provide a consistent voluntary approach to the provision of complimentary tickets for people with disabilities.
